1st tutorial – Presentation of drafts

I presented my drafts to the class, received some constructive feedbacks and comments. Here are the drafts that I have done.

Comments by the class:

Should include more varieties of vegetables. Not just mushrooms, carrots and chillies.

Comments by the class:

Top: Should include some other basketball related objects to form the name. Using the ball alone is not enough.

Bottom: The cigarette idea is good, but it does not reflect clearly that I dislike smokers.

Comments by the class:

Top: A better version than the previous one, more basketball related objects were used in this draft. This was shortlisted to be used for final submission.

Bottom: Will be good if I combine the skull with the previous draft. Should add in the picture a man smoking and puffing. Will send the message across that I hate smokers.

Comments by the class:

Top: Good idea to use basketballer stickmen to form letters. Shortlisted for final submission.

Bottom: Does not fulfill the assignment requirement at all.

Conclusion: Will work on the 2 drafts that were shortlisted and improve them!

Select 2 words which best describe my character
For example: My name is xxx and I hate xxx or
My name is xxx and I love xxx

Develop 4 design concepts for each sentence (8 in total)
Select 1 concept (out of 4) from each sentence
Further ecplore and develop at least 2 variations of each concept.
Produce and present your selected designs.

Brainstorming of ideas:

My passion is basketball and I have decided to design my name based on the theme – basketball.
On the other hand, I hate smokers and smoking. So I have decided to do a “hate” theme on smokers.
I will draw a few drafts for presentation during 1st tutorial.
